Basic course echocardiography/Doppler echocardiography:

The four-day basic echocardiography course deals with physical basics, device setting and standard section planes. In addition, the measurement of systolic function and the assessment of valvular heart disease are covered. In small groups, the acquired knowledge is applied and discussed in the practical part.

After completion of the course, the participant will be able to perform a standard examination and recognise the most important pathologies.

The course starts on Thursdays at 15:00 and ends on Sundays at 14:00.

Advanced course echocardiography/Doppler echocardiography

In the four-day advanced course, the knowledge acquired in the basic course is deepened.
The focus is on the precise quantification of valvular diseases and myocardial function.
In addition, special questions such as pericardial diseases, endocarditis, prosthetic heart valves and the assessment of the right heart are dealt with.

The course starts every Thursday at 15:00 and ends on Sunday at 14:00.

Module I basics: basics of transoesophageal echocardiography

Module II special problems: Transoesophageal echocardiography for special problems

In modules I and II, the most important indications and findings of transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) are discussed.

In simulator training sessions you can "lend a hand" yourself and discuss your questions with the experts. In addition, we will present interesting cases "live". The modules comply with the new DEGUM guidelines and - like the previous final course - enable the acquisition of the DEGUM certificates.
